Welcome to the Joint Center for Concept Development website.
The CCDC (Centro Conjunto de Desarrollo de Conceptos, in Spanish), as the successor of the former CHOD’s Transformation Unit, was born with the vision to be the agency that provides the General Staff with analysis capability to support the Joint Force Development processes.
The Center’s organization is oriented to support the design, development, validation and implementation of solutions to military operating problems. The main activities of the Center are the foresight and identification of military problems within the future operating environment, the development and validation of military concepts that deliver solutions to those problems and the transition of those solutions to the joint doctrine.
The integration within the CESEDEN (Center for Advance Studies of the Defense) allows tighter links with both military and civilian academic environments, as well as the scientific community, and makes easier the development of the holistic approach required to cope with nowadays operations.
The permanent relationship with similar centers from our allies and friend nations promotes the alignment of our solutions to those others available int by the multinational community, thus supporting interoperability and the creation of synergies.
