The Strong Lineage 25 operational exercise, which evaluated the multinational force led by Spain in Slovakia, is the cover story of Issue 19 of the English edition of the Revista Española de Defensa. It reports on the progress of this exercise, which certified that the unit is ready to scale from a battlegroup to a brigade if necessary. The report is complemented by an interview with its commander, General Alfonso Pardo de Santayana.

The Spanish Army's outstanding contribution to the Defender Europe 25 exercise is also reported, with the deployment of 1,400 troops in Greece, Hungary, and Latvia. This issue also features one of the largest and most ambitious maritime exercises in recent years, Dynamic Mariner/Flotex-25. Organized by the Navy and the Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM), Spain was certified to lead the maritime component of the Allied Reaction Force (ARF).

One report gets inside the work of the Hoyo de Manzanares International Mine Clearing Center (Madrid), and another is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Águila acrobatic patrol, which was commemorated with an international air show at the San Javier base (Murcia).

The 4th Spanish International Defense and Security Fair (FEINDEF), held in May in Madrid with the participation of 600 companies is also reported.

Finally, the historical pages evoke the figure of the military engineer Roque Joaquín de Alcubierre, who rescued the archaeological site of Pompeii from oblivion in 1748, and also recall the victory of Breda, the most symbolic of the Spanish Tercios, which took place 400 years ago.
